FAST aggregate calculator 2026
This FAST-NUCES aggregate calculator applies the university's published undergraduate selection weights for computing, business and engineering program groups. Choose your program group first because engineering uses a different formula.
FAST aggregate formula for computing and business
For the listed computing programs and BBA, Accounting & Finance, Business Analytics and Financial Technology, the current published selection criteria use 50% admission test, 40% HSSC/equivalent and 10% SSC/equivalent.
FAST aggregate formula for engineering
For the listed engineering programs, the current selection criteria use 33% admission test, 50% HSSC/equivalent and 17% SSC/equivalent.
Negative marking and final merit
FAST states that there is negative marking in the NU admission test. This calculator does not guess the penalty from raw correct and wrong answers because test instructions can change. Enter your adjusted test percentage. Final cut-off marks are determined by FAST and can differ by program and admission cycle.
FAST aggregate calculator 2026: worked examples
Suppose you enter a 75% adjusted FAST admission-test score, 85% HSSC/equivalent and 90% SSC/equivalent. For computing or business, the estimated aggregate is 80.50%: (75 × 0.50) + (85 × 0.40) + (90 × 0.10) = 37.50 + 34.00 + 9.00.
Using the same inputs for the engineering group gives 82.55%: (75 × 0.33) + (85 × 0.50) + (90 × 0.17) = 24.75 + 42.50 + 15.30. This illustrates why you must choose the correct program group before comparing admission estimates.
Where should you get the test and academic percentages?
Use the university's applicable adjusted admission-test score and your legitimate HSSC/SSC marks or recognized equivalence. If an examination result or equivalence is pending, FAST may use the part-year or equivalent score specified for that admission cycle. The calculator is a planning aid: eligibility, accepted admission-test routes, cut-offs and seat decisions come from the university.
FAST aggregate vs FAST merit position
An aggregate is a weighted percentage, not a guaranteed merit number. Campus, degree choice, the intake and other applicants affect the outcome. Check the official FAST-NUCES eligibility and selection criteria before applying; do not rely on unofficial closing-merit predictions.
Comparing universities? Use the NUST aggregate calculator separately: its NET-basis formula and application rules are not interchangeable with FAST.
